SC,ST entrepreneurship awareness camp held at Rangareddy

Rangareddy: The central and state governments have been encouraging SC and ST entrepreneurs by providing them loans, said State Industrial Department Additional Director Raj Kumar, while addressing an awareness camp at ZP Conference Hall here on Friday. Raj said they have been organising awareness camps to encourage SC and ST entrepreneurs by giving them loans after preparing their lists in the database.

Central government allocated Rs 490 crore in budget to support SC, ST entrepreneurs for setting up industries, said Srinivas Naik, managing director at Telangana Leather Industries Corporation.  Srinivas Naik said up to Rs two crore will be given to SCs and STs, and that they would be given a loan within 59 minutes after submitting their applications. Industries Department District President Rajeshwar Reddy said permissions were given to as many as 766 industries in the district after the government introduced the TS IPASS.  

In all, some Rs 42 crore loans were given to as many as 1,676 STs under T PRIDE. Industrial health clinics will be set up to encourage SC & ST entrepreneurs, added Rajeshwar Reddy. Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) CEO Shanthi Kumar, LDM Mohmmad Rizwan, SIDBI, DIKKI, FICCI, representatives of various banks and industrialists were present on the occasion.
