Devnar School to get new building at Begumpet

Begumpet: The Devnar School for the Blind is all set to get a new building. The work has already started and once completed, the water-logging problem that the school has been facing will be solved, according to the management. About 550 students study in the school. The new school building is for the students. It is being constructed with the help of the charity given by Suraj Prasad Agarwal, chairman of Land Mark Builders and Sanjeev Jain, a civil engineer, and with the collaboration from Success Unlimited.  On Sunday, the school celebrated New Year with the students. “The building will be a New Year gift to students,” said Sai Baba Goud, chairman of Devnar Foundation. 

Dr Saibaba said, “Behind the school there is a nala, and the polluted water from Jeedimetla, Fox Sagar Lake connecting Hussain Sagar enters the school. We want to provide a pollution-free environment for the students.”  Success Unlimited, an organisation that promotes students’ development awarded medals on a get-together meet organised at the school.
