CITU leaders protest at MPDO office

Hayathnagar: As part of the nation-wide strike, CITU leaders staged a dharna at MPDO office here on Wednesday. Earlier they took out a protest rally against the Central government’s anti-labour policies. 

Addressing a gathering, CITU district president E Narasimha, Praja Sanghala convener A Mahesh demanded minimum wage of Rs 18,000 per month. The other demands included proper implementation of ESI, PF to workers from all sectors, payment of 4-month-salary dues to workers at Gram Panchayats, payment of three-month-salary dues to workers of mid-day meal scheme. They raised slogans against the NDA government.
