Cold waves persist in Medak, Adilabad districts

Hyderabad: In a warning issued by the Indian Meteorological Department for the next five days, it stated cold wave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places across Telangana. The department bulletin said mainly low-level Northerlies/North Easterlies (winds) would prevail across the state, and would result in cold waves. 

On Wednesday, severe cold was experienced at isolated places in Medak District. Cold waves also prevailed in Adilabad District, while the weather was dry across the rest of Telangana. According to the bulletin, the lowest minimum temperature of 7 degrees Celsius was recorded in Medak and Adilabad. The other temperatures registered in the state: Hanamkonda, Hyderabad & Ramagundam 11 degree Celsius each, Nizamabad at 12 degree Celsius, Hakimpet and Khammam at 13 degree Celsius each, Bhadrachalam and Nalgonda at 15 degree Celsius each and Mahbubnagar at 18 degree Celsius.
