MLA Arekapudi Gandhi inaugurates city surveillance system

Kukatpally: Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi, along with Kukatpally ACP Surender Rao and CI Prasanna Kumar, inaugurated city surveillance system comprising 61 cc cameras worth Rs 13.55 lakhs at Club House in Vivekananda Nagar division on Thursday. The programme was organized by Police department and the colony association. 

The MLA appreciated police and colony residents for coming forward to install cc cameras. He lauded the efforts of police authorities for raising awareness on the importance of installing cc cameras in every colony. Stating that one camera is equal to 1,000 police, he urged residents of various colonies to install cc cameras. 

Apart from protecting women and preventing thefts in colonies, CC cameras also help police nab criminals and convict them. He urged the residents to maintain cleanliness in their colony and aspire for getting best colony award. He promised them to address drainage and road issues and strive for providing basic amenities in the colony. Members of the colony Krishna Reddy, Bheem Rao, Prasad, Thandava Krishna, Ramchander, TRS leaders Chandrakant, Sanjeev Reddy, Karteek Rao, E Srinivas Yadav, Shravan and others were present on the occasion.
