Leopard killed by wire snare

Mancherial: A leopard was found dead on the outskirts of Rangampet village, Manacherial mandal, a week ago, believed to have been caught in a wire snare laid out by poachers. The incident came to the light on Monday evening. Luxettipet Forest Range Officer N Swamy said the animal carcass was found with wire meshes still entangled with its body. 

The leopard got trapped in an iron snare, set up to trap wild animals by hunters. Though it managed to escape from the trap but later died due to injuries. A case was registered in this regard and investigation is on.
