Meet the youngest woman MLA who entered Telangana assembly

Banothu Haripriya, the 29-year-old MLA from Yellandu emerged as the youngest woman politician after the formation of the state from Congress party. 

Without any political background, Haripriya contested against TRS candidate Koram Kanakaiah and emerged victorious paving a way for the youngsters to enter the assembly. During the swearing-in ceremony, Haripriya took oath in English to grab the attention of the people. 

Among the six women legislators, Haripriya and Rekha Naik from TRS took oath in English.
