Make Feb 15 a public holiday: Lambadas

LB Nagar: Lambadi’s Ikya Vedika (LIVE) state president Dr Rajkumar Jadhav on Thursday demanded that the government declare February 15 as public holiday marking Sant Sri Sevalal Maharaj’s birth anniversary.

 By doing so, it should recognise the self-respect of Lambadis and Banjaras in Telangana, he said in press release. He also demanded the implementation of the GO raising quota to the tribal community from six percent to 10 per cent.
