Interviews for Haj officers conclude

Nampally: The process of selection of the Khadim-ul-Hujjaj (Haj Officers) concluded on Saturday, with the Interview of the candidates by the Telangana State Haj Committee.Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Mohammed Masiullah Khan presided over the panel consisting of Special Officer Prof SA Shukoor, Members Telangana State Haj Committee Tayyaba Afindi, Arif Ahmed, Abu Talha Amjad and Mohammed Arifuddin. 

As many as 238 persons, all government employees, had applied for deputation as Khadim-ul-Hujjaj, and of which some 201 candidates appeared for the interview, which is conducted to assess mental and physical fitness and to scrutinize their documents.

The candidates will be selected through Qurrah (Draw of Lots) at 3.00 pm on Monday at Haj House in Nampally. Khadim ul Hujjaj are selected in the ratio of 200:1 to guide and help the Haj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia as and when required.
