Need to promote Bahujan literature

Musheerabad: Former Deputy Chief Minister and MLA Dr Tatikonda Rajaiah said that Bahujan literature has the capability to transform the society and help in annihilating caste from Indian society. He was speaking at the state convention of Bahujan Sahitya Academy held at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram, Baghlingampally on Monday.

 Lauding the efforts of Chief Minister KCR for promoting literature, he said that the CM has not only conducted World Telugu Conference but also ensured that many poets, writers and singers of the state were employed through Sankruthika Sarathi.

Telangana state library chairman Dr Sridhar promised to strive for the promotion of Bahujan literature in the State. President of Bahujan Sahitya Academy Nalla Radhakrishna called upon Bahujans to struggle for political empowerment. He said that all India Bahujan writers conference would be held at Delhi on December 30 and Bahujan writers from 17 states are expected to participate in the conference.

Later, chief guest Tatikonda Rajaiah, who was recently elected as MLA, was felicitated. The state president of Sahitya Academy Erragudla Venkateshwar, joint secretary Neerudu Krishna, singers Rameshwari, Narender, poets, writers and others participated in the meeting
