Corporator urges funds for development works
Hastinapuram: Seeking funds for various development works in the division, Corporator Ramavath Padma Srinu Naik submitted a memorandum to Zonal Commissioner (ZC) Srinivas Reddy on Tuesday.
Padma Naik informed the ZC that the division has been suffering from several problems such as absence of proper drainage network, narrow roads and lack of community buildings in the various colonies in the division. Speaking of the drainage issue, she specifically mentioned Keshavapuri Colony where people were unable even to move on roads due to overflow of drainage and stagnation of water at several places was triggering mosquito menace.
As a result, many people were falling, she expressed concern. The Corporater also sought funds for road expansion in South Hasitnapuram, CC road in Santoshi Matha Colony and construction of community building at Indrasena Reddy Nagar Colony.
She thanked Srinivas Reddy immensely for promptly attending to her plea for funds and sanctioning funds in time to develop the division on all fronts. TRS leader Sri Ramulu Goud accompanied her.
Later, Padma Naik inaugurated a free health camp at Nandavanambasti Community Hall. She appealed to the colony residents to utilise the camp and undergo health check-up and get medicines which were being distributed free of cost. District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Dr Sudhakar and other staff were also present at the camp.
