Hyderabad: Telangana Congress has decided to boycott the celebrations of National Voters’ Day, to be held on January 25, alleging that the Election Commission betrayed the spirit of the Commission.

Addressing the media here on Wednesday, TPCC Election Commission Coordination committee chairman Marri Shashidhar Reddy said the Chief Electoral Officer had sent invitation the party. He said the theme of the National Voters’ Day for this year was to ensure that no voter is left unregistered. He said that TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy, party leaders Bhatti Vikramarka, Shabbir Ali, Revanth Reddy, Jana Reddy, D K Aruna, Telangana Telugu Desam president Ramana, CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy, Telangana Jana Samithi president Kodandaram were invited to participated in the dharna.
