City girl selected as best cadet
Hyderabad: M Ruth Serene, 18, has been selected for representing AP and Telangana as the best cadet in this year’s Republic Day camp in New Delhi. She participated in 8 camps at Bison Grounds before being selected for RDC as the best cadet for senior air wing.Presently pursuing a degree in Architecture at Sri Venkateshwara College of Architecture, she aspires to join armed forces as a pilot and take up architecture as a hobby.
She had participated as an NCC cadet during her school days into junior wing. She secured a silver medal in School Games Federation (SGF) Hyderabad district meet in swimming. She also took part in the local Independence Day Camp (LIDC) 2018 at Golconda Fort. Vayu Sainik Camp Inter Group Competition (VSCIGC).
“Even though it was tough for her, she put all her efforts with hardship, and did everything willingly without complaining” said her mother, Mary Sarala Serene. She said Ruth was also fond of artistry and singing. "I am really proud of my girl, she has all the guts with confidence and flair to reach her aim regardless of any difficulties,” she said proudly of her daughter.
