Access cards to Pragathi Bhavan in the offing
Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders can now have easy access to the Pragathi Bhavan as the party would be issuing special access cards for their entry into Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s camp office.
There have been restrictions at the Pragathi Bhavan as only the leaders, who are invited, are allowed into it. Even the party functionaries must follow the Minister and MPs to get into the Chief Minister’s camp office. The party has now decided to open the doors to the party leaders.
During the meeting of the party State executive committee, TRS president Chandrashekar Rao said the party leaders would be given importance. Sources said that the TRS president is keen to make sure that there is no gap between the party and government. He also hinted of giving special identity cards to the party leaders to enable them to have easy access to the Chief Minister’s Camp Office.
According to a senior TRS leader, the party leaders, including the general secretaries, secretaries and joint secretaries, would be getting these access cards. This will be called ‘Pragathi Bhavan Access Card.’ The card would have details like photograph of the party functionary, post, blood group, complete address, identification marks etc.
Sources said the cards are ready to be distributed but the leaders suggested some changes in the card. The card has some mistakes, and this has been brought to the notice of the police authorities. The card mentioned ‘Telangana Rashtra’ and post of the committee member and the Samithi is missing on it. There are government and police logos on the card, the leader said.
The cards have not been distributed to the party leaders as the mistakes need to be rectified. Once the new cards arrive, they would be handed over to the party leaders, the TRS leader said. The party is issuing cards to committee members, including 20 general secretaries, 30 secretaries and 10 joint secretaries. The TRS leader said the leaders can have direct access to the Pragathi Bhavan and can meet the Chief Minister. When asked whether other functionaries would also get the card, the TRS leader said that it would be decided by the Chief Minister.
