Government and private offices get ready for Republic Day

Tandur: Both the government and private offices in the town were getting ready to celebrate Republic Day on Saturday. The Polls were getting painted with tri-colour to hoist the national flag all ready for the Republic Day.

Various sports competitions were conducted for the students on the account of Republic Day and the winners of the competitions will receive prizes and mementoes tomorrow . Students were trained to conduct march past. Newly elected MLA Rohit Reddy is going to hoist the national flag for the very first time. 

Since the grampanchayat elections are still going on in three phases,the newly elected srapanches were made non-eligible to hoist the national flag and only after the completion of elections will they take the oath as sarpanches then take up their duties.
