Hyderabad: Many types of looting are also reported in the name of ‘friendship’ messages on the mobiles. “Spicy talks with Lovely friends’—Call 5630088," says a message.  Another says: "Live Your life with excitement and lots of fun to make your life Special one. Dial  51222333."  Another says: "Friends who always  try to live with you - You also play your friends—56300335."

Some messages are also trying to lure the customers by offering huge amounts.  The senders of these messages are creating an impression that the SMS is from the BSNL, by saying "Dear BSNL customer – Sankranthi  offer – Just Dial #543#9# (tollfree)," and, "Win One lakh. Call 6555000," etc.

People should be alert about such messages aimed at making friendship, eliciting your information and cheating you by many ways. Deleting such messages is the best way, advise cops and cyber analysts.

Meanwhile,  banks are cautioning their customers against disclosing their ATM card number, ATM Pin, CVV, OTP, online user ID and Password and  any other sensitive information to any one. This warning is being issued by banks in view of the large-scale cyber crimes being reported off-late, wherein the customers are duped  by unscrupulous elements.
