Meet on complex injuries held
Hyderabad: Telangana Orthopaedic Surgeon’s Association (TOSA) and Twin Cities Orthopaedic Association (TCOS) in association with KIMS Hospitals, organised a one-day programme on management strategies in treating complex injuries. Open injuries in the road accidents are disastrous and pose threatening challenges to the treating surgeons.
Thus, it is very important for the young orthopaedic surgeons to keep themselves updated on the trends and advances in management of such complex fractures that will save many limbs of patients who sustain such injuries.
“Our aim was to train the advances and updates in literature to audience and also teach the resuscitation protocols and emergency protocols for surgeons practicing in rural areas where many such injuries are encountered,” said Dr Srinivas Kasha, organising chairman, TOSA Mid Term CME and secretary, TCOS. Over 250 orthopaedic surgeons and post graduates across both theTelugu states attended the programme.
