Sahitya Akademi award for TS scribe

​Hyderabad: Senior journalist Apparasu Krishna Rao, who hails from Mahbubnagar district, has been announced as the recipient of the Central Sahitya Akademi award for translation. Krishna Rao is being honoured for his translation of well-known poet Padma Sachdev’s poems in Dogri language into Telugu in a collection titled ‘GuppeduSuryudu, MarikonniKavithalu’. 

Expressing happiness over Krishna Rao’s achievement, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, in a statement, said that the journalist, author and poet deserved the award. He wished Rao reach greater heights in journalism and literary fields and strive to get good name for Telangana.
