Teacher injured during poll duty

Parigi: A teacher carrying out polling work and going beyond the line of duty was injured at MPDO Office here on Tuesday. He was seen ballot boxes on the first floor of the MPDO office to the storeroom. Suddenly, he slipped and fell, with the ballot boxes landing on him.

He was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital, where it was found that both his hands were fractured. The victim, hailing from Marpalli village, is undergoing treatment at the hospital. Witnesses blamed the officials for the incident.
