Mudra Cooperative Society helping needy ryots

Musheerabad: Mudra Agriculture & Skill Development Multi-State Cooperative Society Limited released the directory of Telangana MLAs 2018-2023 and held discussions on Telangana agricultural policies here at RTC Kalyana Madapam, Baghlingampally on Thursday. Advisor to Telangana government Dr KV Ramanachary, Justice Eshwaraiah, former national BC Commission chairman Justice B Chandra Kumar, former High Court Justice and BC Commission chairman Ramulu, BC Commission member Vakulabharanam Krishnamohan Rao, Kalvakurthi MLA Jaipal Yadav, and others attended the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, the chairman of the society, Ramdasappa Naidu, said their organisation inspired by the CM’s vision of ‘Bangaru Telangana’ provided employment to around 800 Telangana youth. According to him, the society has 150 branches in Telangana and has extended loans worth Rs 30 crore to small farmers and small businessmen. It started with an initial investment of Rs 60,000, and its assets at present amount to about Rs 100 crore.

Justice Eshwaraiah lauded the efforts of Ramdasappa for his services to the society and helping poor in achieving self-reliance. He hoped that the society would continue to serve people and develop into a bank. He urged the State and the Central governments to cooperate with the society by providing necessary funds to the cooperative society which helps farmers. He urged governments to take necessary action against big businessmen who flee to other countries after defaulting banks and help such cooperative societies which sincerely stand by the side of farmers.
 
After releasing the directory of new MLAs of Telangana, the organisers felicitated the newly-elected MLA of Kalvakurthi, Jaipal Yadav. Later, the chief guests distributed cheques each worth Rs 10,000 to poor farmers as financial assistance. Employees of different branches of the society attended the programme.
