Farmers fleeced at agricultural market

Tandur: Telugu Desam leader Suraj Singh has demanded that the government curtail corruption in the Agricultural Market Committee and provide justice to the farmers, in a press release here on Friday. He alleged that due to the nexus between committee officials and traders, farmers were being cheated in weighing their produce. 

Suraj Singh also alleged that the traders were looting farmers by collecting one per cent commission after sales. He said he would lodge a complaint with the officials of state vigilance and enforcement directorate.
