Skills development training for minority youth

Nampally: Telangana State Wakf Board (TSWB) Chairman Mohammed Saleem, along with Centurion University executive officer Mahesh Kumari, distributed application forms of ‘Skill Development Training’ programme to the aspirants at Haj House in Nampally on Friday.The TSWB has decided to sponsor 100 candidates, both men and women, for the skill development training at Centurion University in Odisha.

The skill trades are selected keeping in view the employability factor of the job market to select the candidates for various trades according to their choices and compatibility. The list of 100 aspirants will be selected after counseling by experts. The different trades will have different training durations at Odisha campus. The boarding and lodging for the selected candidates will be for free of cost in the residential.

Speaking to the media, TSWB Chairman Mohammed Saleem said the aspirants are advised to visit TSWB office on all working days during office hours for further details and to fill up their application forms starting from February 1 to February 15. All the other details regarding qualification and procedure are available at the Special Cell established. After the submission of the forms, candidates will be called for counselling for the trades their selected and further details will be given. They can also contact Executive Officer Mir Munawar Ali, and I/c.L.T.Section MA Rahman Owais, at TS Wakf Board, Haj House, Nampally.

He also said that the aspirants with qualifications starting from Class 8 to graduation can apply for the training. There are a total of 20 training domains, including industrial electrician, automotive electrician and technician, X-ray and operation theater technician, Android app developer, animation, sewing machine operator for self-employed.
