Auto turns turtle; nine injured

Chandampet (Nalgonda): Nine persons suffered injuries when the auto-rickshaw they were travelling in turned turtle on Tuesday at a road turning of Bugga Thanda of Chandampeta mandal.

According to sources, eight agriculture labourers of Dubba Thanda of Neredugomma mandal took an auto to go to Vizag Colony of Chandampeta mandal for sowing works.

The auto lost control and overturned while passing through a curve near Bugga Thanda. In this incident, K Mounika, V Nunna, V Saali, Vijaya, L Kaali, Shailaja, L Bharathi, L Murali and auto driver L Papa Naik suffered severe injuries 

Meanwhile, the local SI P Paramesh rushed to the spot after receiving the information and took part in the rescue operations. All the injured were shifted to Government hospital in Devarakonda for treatment. Later, the kin of the injured shifted them to local private hospitals for better treatment. Based on the complaint of the injured persons, the SI registered a case and took up the investigation.
