Bhavans College panel discusses Union Budget
Neredmet: A panel discussion on Union budget was held on February 7 by the faculty of BA in Bhavan's Vivekananda College. The panellists for the discussion were Prof Krishna Reddy, Ramnendra Lal and Nitin Kumar Saraf. The discussion included uniqueness of current interim budget, importance of budget and tax and having a wider perspective of the government schemes and initiatives.
The panellists were very well able to answer all the shooting questions from the students. Prof Krishna Reddy said that in the previous budget unorganized sector was neglected whereas in this year's interim budget the budget stands out by providing something to the people who belong to unorganized sector.
"Budget is the future plan, not the exact account of expenditure" says Ramendra Lal. He also enlightened the students on the subjects that would affect them in the near future. Nitin Saraf showed his perspective on what happens when the person does not pay his/her tax, purchasing power increases as a result of increase in his/her income, which in turn increases his/her investment in indirect tax. The discussion was insightful and informative for the students.
