Tragedy befalls family heading to dargah
Mahbubnagar: In a gruesome road accident that took place at a substation on Kosgi-Doulatabad road in the district on Thursday, one person was killed and three suffered injuries.
According to police, six persons of a family from Bijjaram village of Kosgi mandal boarded an auto-rickshaw along with their luggage and two goats. They were all heading towards the dargah in Eerlapally village to offer prayers as part of a ‘Kanduru’ programme.
However, as soon as the auto-rickshaw reached the sub-station on the Kosgi-Doulatabad road, while trying to maneuver a small curve on the road, the driver, also one of the family members, lost the control over the vehicle and due to high speed, the auto turned turtle killing one person and injuring the remaining.
The condition of two persons is said to be critical. All the injured were shifted to local government hospital and the severely hurt were shifted to government general hospital in Mahbubnagar.
