TPSC urged to release results of teacher test

Musheerabad: The national president of BC welfare associations, R Krishnaiah, has demanded that the TPSC release the results of teachers recruitment and give postings to the selected candidates. He was speaking at a meeting of selected teacher candidates here at BC Bhavan on Friday. Gujja Krishna presided the meeting.

Krishnaiah criticised the state service commission for delay in the release of teacher recruitment results. He said that the process which was supposed to be completed in four months was incomplete even after 18 months, causing severe mental stress to the selected candidates.Their recruitment may help meet to some extent the shortage of teachers, he added.

He claimed that as many as 45,000 teacher posts were vacant in 25,000 government schools. But the notification was issued for only 8,786 posts, and even the candidates had been made to wait for orders for the 18 months, he lamented. Quoting a Supreme court ruling that recruitments should be done within one month, he accused the service commission of turning a blind eye to the apex court ruling.

Of the 4 lakh candidates who appeared for the exam, about 27,000 candidates have been selected for certificate verification and the final list is yet to be declared. He alleged the final list has been deliberately delayed on the pretext of court cases. The meeting decided to organise ‘Chalo Hyderabad’ protest at Dharna Chowk on February 12. Santhosh, Raju Suresh, Jaipal Mudhiraj, Sachin, Ramesh, Ramulu and others participated in the meeting
