Ministerial aspirants out to impress KCR on his birthday

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s 66th birthday on February 17 will be a show of strength of the TRS senior leaders who aspire to become ministers, corporation chairmen and other nominated posts.

All the leaders are busy making arrangements on a largescale to get KCR’s attention in the state capital and also in districts. Former minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav already announced organising KCR’s birthday on a grand scale in Hyderabad, while other senior leaders, including former ministers are planning in districts.

Srinivas Yadav said that the chief minister’s birthday will be celebrated by organising several programmes which includes poor feeding and blood donation. TRS working president K T Rama Rao, Nizamabad MP K Kavitha, T Harish Rao, MPs and MLAs of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation are invited to witness the KCR’s birthday bash.

Ganapati homam, Aayush homam, Chandi homam would also be organised at Sri Ujjaini Mahankali temple on KCR’s birthday. Later, a health camp would be organised at Hamalibasti in Padmarao Nagar division.

A cultural programme with folk dance artistes and singers will be the centre of attraction in the celebrations organised at Jalavihar. An exhibition showcasing KCR government’s achievements and flagship programmes launched by the TRS government will also be opened at the venue. Rythu Bandhu, Shadi Mubarak-Kalyana Lakshmi, Aasara pensions, Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha and other schemes will be highlighted in the exhibition.

In addition to KCR’s photo exhibition, the chief guests will also release two songs depicting the developmental activities of the TRS government on the occasion. In the districts, the TRS leaders will organise blood donation camps, distrubtion of fruits to the patients in the hospitals and other charity programmes on the day. Some of the leaders are planning to organise a massive plantation programme involving newly-elected sarpanches and local body representatives.
