Shanthi seeks funds to address civic issues

 Nacharam: Seeking funds to solve civic problems in the division, corporator Shanthi submitted a memorandum to GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore on Monday. The memorandum sought funds for beautification of Patel Kunta tank, renovation of bridge near the tank and construction of drain beside the tank to avert sewerage to Patel Kunta tank and HMT Nagar tank. 

Once renovation works get completed, people of the division will find it attractive and will be relieved while they visit the tanks during their leisure time, she said. She also felt that people would get to travel safely once the bridge is renovated. Both the tanks were polluted due to the inflow of sewerage which may pose a threat to flora and fauna, and cause mosquito menace in the surrounding colonies, she worried. She said that they were striving hard to turn Nacharam into a model division.
