Hyderabad: On the occasion of the 30th Road Safety Week, Swiggy, India’s largest food ordering and delivery platform, invited the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate for ‘Traffic Rules Sensitisation Drive’ organised for its delivery partners. Over 120 delivery partners of Swiggy from service areas across Hyderabad participated in the three-hour awareness session, led by the officials of the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate and the Swiggy team.
The drive was conducted with an objective to increase awareness, skills and knowledge among delivery partners, urging them to be cognizant of the importance of following traffic rules. The session also covered the necessary first-aid practices the delivery partners can follow when in distress. The session also shared best-practices to ensure a safer riding experience for Swiggy delivery partners, especially during peak hours. The programme saw the attendance of Rajagopal Reddy, Circle Inspector Traffic, Madhapur, along with Shyam Sunder Reddy, Traffic Training Institute Inspector and his team PCS Reddy, Associate Director (SCSC), as well as Senior Swiggy officials.
Traffic DCP Vijay Kumar said, “Ensuring road safety is taken seriously by the Hyderabad traffic police department. Swiggy was eager to collaborate with us to create stronger awareness on the importance of road safety among its large fleet of delivery partners. Driving awareness among delivery partners takes us a step further in ensuring safer roads, both for them as well as the other commuters and pedestrians. We hope more and more companies to follow suit and help make roads in Hyderabad safer for everybody.”
