CITU demands pay to contract staff as per skills

Kothagudem: Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) Singareni State vice-president Y Krishnaiah demanded the company management to provide skilled salaries, depending on the type of work they carry out, for the contract workers. On Tuesday along with contract workers, Krishnaiah met the Labour Commissioner, P Laxman and discussed many issues of the contract workers.

Addressing the media after the meeting, Krishnaiah said the contract workers working in Coal Handling Plant (CHP) in the company were not getting the skilled salaries yet. 

He demanded the management to give the skilled salaries immediately to the workers besides dust allowance to the workers working underground.  
CITU leaders Veeresh, Manoj, Prabhaker, Samanna, Mahender and others attended the meeting.
