Rythu Bazar turning den for anti-socials

Update: 2019-02-14 05:30 IST

Tandur: The Rythu Bazar of the town has turned into a spot for anti-social activities, as the drunkards have been using the place for their activities.

The government constructed the market in 2017 with 30 sheds and 10 shops, with an aim to give a platform to the farmers to sell their produce, with an estimated cost of Rs 85 lakh. The then Ministers Harish Rao and Mahender Reddy inaugurated the market.

However, the business at the market has come down, as people started to buy vegetables at nearby shops. As a result, the drunkards have been using the spot for anti-social activities. The locals appeal to the government to intervene into the matter and to restore its past glory.
