Hindu outfit members held for protest

LB Nagar: Passersby at LB Nagar Ring Road Junction on Thursday witnessed tense moments when police personal obstructed the activists of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal, who tried to burn an effigy in protest against Valentine’s Day celebrations. The cops arrested the protesters and shifted them to LB Nagar Police Station. 

Earlier, as many as 100 members of Bajrang Dal, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and VHP took up a rally and raised slogans against the Valentine’s Day.  Bajrang Dal district leader Chaitanya said that they were opposing the Valentine’s Day and not the concept of love. He called upon youngsters to shun foreign culture and tradition.
