Rachakonda police commissionerate opens
Neredmet: Home Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali inaugurated the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate at Neredmet here on Sunday. The Telangana State Police Housing Corporation Limited completed the construction in 18 months.The commissionerate includes reception and visitors lounge, main and mini conference hall, chambers for Commissioner of Police (CP), Joint Commissioner of Police, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Command Control Room, CCRB Hall, job verification hall and toilets.
The total area of building is 28000 sft and it cost Rs 5.10 crore. M Mahendar Reddy, Director General of Police (DGP), M Mahesh Bhagwat, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, public representatives and officials were present. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Infosys Company and Rachakonda Commissionerate for CCTV community project worth Rs5 cr. GAIL (India) Limited contributed Rs 25 lakh to Rachakonda Commissionerate for installation of CCTVs in Below Poverty Line (BPL) colonies and communal sensitive areas.
GMR Limited has presented Rs 1 lakh each to Rachakonda and Cyberabad Commissionerate. Along with the Commissionerate, a renovated quarter was inaugurated with 7000 sft plinth area of Rs 35 lakh cost. Rachakonda Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat thanked the Government of Telangana for allotment of 86 acres (53 acres for Rachakonda Commissionerate in Medipally and 33 acres for AR Headquarters at Yadadri).
Bhagwat said that for the first time in the state, the Rachaskonda police Commissionerate procured the Advanced Records Management System from TechMark Solutions, Pune, in order to secure the classified records/files from all eventualities which is water and fire-proof. B Malla Reddy, MD, Housing Corporation, gave details of the Construction of the building with technical facilities. He said the building would be equipped with modernised policing requirements.
Mahender Reddy said that the people residing in the area of Rachakonda have the Commissioner available 24x7 in the jurisdiction to solve the law order issues on real-time basis. The quality of services delivered as per expectations of the public would be facilitated. Chief Minister KCR has created new commissionerates to deliver quality policing services. He sanctioned man power, infrastructure and technologies for improving policing services.
Mahmood Ali has said that the Chief Minister was laying stress on law & order. He said that the citizen-friendly policing was effectively implemented in the state.
