ED quizzes Revanth again

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president A Revanth Reddy appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials at Basheer Bagh, here on Wednesday for the second consecutive day in cash for vote scam. The ED officials quizzed him about the Rs 50 lakh amount which was given to nominated MLA Stephenson during the MLC elections. They also quizzed him about amount Rs 4.5 crore which Revanth Reddy promised to Stephenson.

They enquired about the bank transactions made by him on the second day also and sought further clarifications from him. Since, the enquiry is conducted based on the basis of charge sheet filed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau officials, the ED officials called the IT and ACB officials to their office and compared the evidences and the disclosures made by Revanth Reddy. The ACB officials and Income Tax officials already quizzed Revanth Reddy in the case. 

After the enquiry, Revanth spoke to the media and alleged that the ED officials were under pressure of the Central government and are trying to harass him and asked questions repeatedly which were asked earlier during the enquiry. He alleged that they are trying to involve Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu into the case. 

He said the ED enquiry is going according to the directions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s nexus and it is under political vendetta. Revanth criticised that the BJP and the TRS leaders are trying to threaten them in the view of coming Lok Sabha elections. He said the cases on him will not stand in the courts.
