TS Grameena Bank rolls out mobile ATM vans

Hyderabad: As one of the measures for implementing financial inclusion plan of Government of India, Telangana Grameena Bank has decided to provide banking services at the doorsteps of villages through mobile ATM vans. The bank purchased two mobile vans and four ATMs under the Financial Inclusion Fund (FIF) Grant Assistance of NABARD.  These vans were launched on Wednesday by Vijaya Kumar, Chief General Manager, NABARD and S Shankar General Manager FIDD, RBI, Hyderabad.  

Chairman V Aravind and General Managers Ch Naga Srinivas, Y Ravi Chandraiah, DV Subba Rao of the bank along with staff and customers participated in the event.Telangana Grameena Bank has been operating in five erstwhile districts namely Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Rangareddy and Hyderabad and eighteen reorganised districts of Telangana State with a network of 416 branches which are spread over nook and corners of five districts of the State.

The bank is having large customer base of 42.67 lakh. The bank is concentrating on priority sector lending particularly for improving the agricultural production, empowerment of women and promoting self-employment, retail trading (MSE & Mudra) in rural and semi urban areas which covers 88.71 per cent of total advances.
