Renowned master flautist Pandit Ronu Mujumdar held the audience captive at Our Sacred Space, auditorium, Chaurah Secunderabad as he gave them a taste of his wizardry. The performance was organised by Surmandal, who has brought the most accomplished artists to the twin cities for the last 50 years.

Pandit Ronu Mujumdhar started with a mellifluous rendition of Shudh Sarang followed by Bhoopkali which was performed after 14 years only for Surmandal. He concluded with a much awaited Jugalbandi in Hamsadhwani with Indradeep Ghosh on the violin matching him note for note. This playful composition was greatly enhanced  by Ramdas Palsule on the Tabla.

Respectful homage was paid to the martyrs of the Pulwama tragedy by observing a minute's silence.

Indradeep Ghosh is one of the premier Violinists in India and a trailblazer for Maihar Gharana. He initially started playing the violin at the tender age of six under the guidance of Sri Anamitra Mustafi. He has been under the tutelage of Professor Smt. Sisirkana Dhar Chowdhury since 1991.

Indradeep is one of the few Indian Classical violinists to play a custom-made five-string violin with eight sympathetic strings, modelled after the Norwegian Hardanger fiddle.
His performances integrate many different styles and techniques of western classical and oriental music. His style of playing can be described as a blend of Gayki and Tantrakari Ang with his fortes being taan and jhala.

He received several elite awards like Prince of Violin, Human Excellence Award and Rajya Sangeet Academy Award.
