Palamuru kids win World Karate Championships
Mahbubnagar: The young Karate team from Mahbubnagar district has won the World Karate Championships during a recently-held World Shatokon Karate Championships in India. Out of eight countries which participated, Mahbubnagar boys won 212 points top among the 14 Indian States and emerged as winners with a total count of 514 points to India’s credit.
Among the participating countries, India stood first followed by Bangladesh at second place, Srilanka at third and Nepal at fourth place. “It is really a proud moment for our academy as our students had shined at the international level in the recently-concluded World Karate Championships,” said Keshava, founder of Keshava Shotokon and Karate Academy in Mahbubnagar. While praising the talents of his students, Keshava credited all success to his coach R Mallikarjun Goud.
