Serilingampally: After receiving objections and complaints on the draft voter list, the election officials released the final voter list of Greater Hyderabad on Friday. While the Serilingampally Assembly constituency has the most voters in Greater Hyderabad followed by Qutbullapur constituency. There are 88,00942 voters as per the final list, an increase of 3.10 lakh in 25 constituencies over the list announced for the assembly elections. As per the final list, Serlingampally Assembly constituency has 6,05,606 voters, of which 3,22,517 are men voters and 2,82,953 are women voters.

For the recently conducted Assembly elections, January 1, 2018 was fixed as the cut-off date for enrolling as voters. Many voters however failed to enroll themselves as voters due to time constraints. In view of this, election commission has declared January 1, 2019 as fresh cut-off date and most of the voters who have failed to enroll have availed the opportunity and got listed in the final voters list. GHMC officials said that names of many voters were deleted by mistake in the last elections and they too have applied for fresh enrollment. This resulted in the increase of voters in the fresh list announced on Friday.

The official sources, however, say that the number of voters included in the final list may be more as the total population of the Greater Hyderabad is estimated at 1.10 crore. Generally, the number of voters constitute 65 per cent of total population but the total number of voters declared for the final list constitute around 75 per cent of total population.

Officials have urged voters to check whether their name is included in the final list before polling. One can check websites ww.ceotelanagana.nic.in, www.ghmc.gov.in, www.nvsp.in and GHMC mobile app to know if their name is included in the final list.

Special camps would be held on March 2 and 3 for those whose applications have been rejected in the past. A BLO would be available locally for resolving the issues.  The rejected applicants can contact BLO along with their original certificates. These cases would be resolved on or before March 14. After the release of Lok Sabha election notification, the applications would be considered till ten days prior to the withdrawal of nominations and voters would be included as supplement to the final list
