IT handloom mela begins at Phoenix

  Madhapur: Facilities Management Council (FCM), in association with IT, Electronics & Communications Departments is organising a three-day IT Handloom Mela at Phoenix Arena Art & Culture Centre near TSIIC Park opposite HSBC TSIIC Park, Phase 2, at HI-TEC City on Monday.
    
The mela features Gadwal, Pochampally, Siddipet, Ikkat Pattu sarees, handicraft products, handloom kurthas and many others. This was being organised as part of the series of IT handloom melas. They have organised this meal with the sole purpose of furthering the cause of handlooms and motivate IT employees to wear handloom clothes at least once a week every Monday.

GHMC Zonal Commissioner Hari Chandana,  NASSCOM chief Srikanth, CRO, IT Department Srinivas Rao and president of FMC Satyanarayana  Mathala graced the inaugural function.
 
Satyanarayana Mathala said that the mela, which is meant for the IT employees enable them to visit, explore and purchase handloom clothes. The response to the earlier melas organised during the last couple of years has been overwhelming, he added.
