TSMC chairman visits minority offices

 Nampally: Telangana State Minorities Commission(TSMC) Chairman Mohammed Qamaruddin visited Urdu Academy and Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation and met Prof SA Shakoor, Director, of Urdu Academy and MA Waheed, the Managing Director of Minorities Finance Corporation, on Monday.

Prof SA Shakoor provided the details of the Budget to Mohammed Qamaruddin, and stated that the total budget of the Urdu Academy was Rs 40 crore, half of which was fixed for the development of Urdu language, Rs 8 crore for facelift of Shadi Khanas and the rest Rs 12 crore for the Finance Department.

MA Waheed also explained the details of budget and the Schemes under the department. He further stated that a scheme by the name ‘Community Production Center is designed to provide vocational training to women in the field of tailoring and also provide sewing machines and other machines worth about Rs 20 lakh for the upliftment of the poor women.
In last year, eight centers were opened so far more than 400 women have been trained here. In all there are 38 centers in the State and more than 11 centers have been provided with computers. One more scheme is to be finalised where 66 cars would be provided on subsidy to the drivers.
