The myriad shades of love

  The February edition of Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Foundation’s much-anticipated monthly theatre weekend brought to Hyderabad a brandnew play celebrating the myriad shades of love – frustrations, jubilation, vivacity, et al. The Mahesh Dattani-directed ‘Dance Me to the End of Love’ was a hilarious ride. The play is written by eminent playwright Mahesh Dattani and Avantika Shankar and unfolds three love stories over the course of three dates. The stories comprised a queer love story over the Internet and a young couple and an older couple against the backdrop of a book shop.

Audiences turned up in droves, their laughter bringing the roof down as they enjoyed the play, packed with punchlines, witty repartees and gags.  Flawless performances by Sukhita Aiyer, Deepal Doshi, Ashish Joshi and Rahul Valmiki kept the happy audience on their toes.
