Fishermen leader Cherka Jaihind dead

 Kapra: Kapra Fisheries Industrial Co-operative Society president Cherka Jaihind died of cardiac arrest on Tuesday. He also served as Moulali HB Colony Welfare Association president. He strove hard to protect the Kapra tank for the benefit of fishermen. He led protests in various forms to bring fishermen’s problems to the government’s notice. He maintained cordial relationship with leaders irrespective of their affinity to parties and trade unions. Leaders from various fishermen unions expressed their condolence for his death.
