Eagle Infra new ORR toll collection agency

 Hyderabad: The HMDA appointed new toll collection agency Eagle Infra India Limited for toll collection with effect from Friday. The term of present toll collection agency IRB infrastructures Limited came to an end on Thursday, who are paying remittance amount to HGCL at Rs 87.03 lakh per day.Eagle Infra India Limited has quoted highest amount of Rs 24.29 cr per month. As per the deal, power consumption charges about Rs 35 lakh per month have to be borne by the new agency. If the number of vehicles reaches more than 20 in any lane at any point of time, the agency has to clear the entire lane without collecting user fee from April 1.

The agency has to provide housekeeping and security staff at 19 Toll Administrative Buildings. The agency has to bear all the expenditure incurred towards repairing the facilities due to mishandling and accidents etc.

HGCL is proposing to increase the lanes at Nanakramguda & Shamshabad, for which the agency has to deploy additional manpower at its own cost.

HMDA appealed to users to make use of RFID facility by collecting free tags issued by ICICI bank at the designated locations by submitting required documents to avoid waiting time at the toll plazas.
