Officials complete MPTCs revamp

  Sangareddy: Officials completed the reorganisation of MPTCs in the district on Wednesday. They released the draft on February 20 to seek suggestions and objections in this regard. After considering the objections, they prepared the final list and announced it. There were 710 MPTCs at the time of the draft and after objections it rose to 713. One MPTC position each has been increased in Narayankhed and  Ameenpur mandals of Sangareddy district and Akkanapet in Siddipet district. The officials created one MPTC for 3,500 population as per the 2011 Census. They finalised 713 MPTCs in erstwhile Medak district. There were 685 MPTCs in Medak district before district re-organisation; the number has now increased to 713.
