More demolitions in the offing: SCB

  Secunderabad: In a joint collaboration with the Defence estate office, Telangana government and the Secunderabad Cantonment Board have planned to pull down illegal structures in the coming weeks in the Cantonment area especially in ward no 1.
 
This drive will continue until the private persons stop using the government property for commercial purpose and by capturing the official land they are creating a dent in government revenue as said by the higher authorities of SCB.

The highest number of structures that were demolished till date is around 20-25 structures, mainly in ward number 1 and 2. The recent illegal structure, the old grant bungalow was demolished.
In the last few weeks, several structures were demolished. According to highly places sources, the next in line for demolition included Imperial Gardens and Malla Reddy Gardens.
 
In the meantime, several people who have been residing in leased lands have taken a stay order.
