Special burns ward opens at Global Hospital

 LB Nagar: Hyderabad Inspector General of Police Sowmya Mishra inaugurated a special burns ward in Aware Glenigals Global Hospital here on Thursday.

Addressing the gathering, Mishra lauded the hospital for launching a special burns ward with latest facilities. She advised the doctors to provide improved services to those who come to the hospital with severe injuries and facing life threat. A team of doctors from various wings with multi-disciplinary action should be formed to decide on the treatment needed for a patient, the IG advised the doctors.

Hospital CEO Girish said the ward had experts available 24x7 to offer all types of treatment to patients with critical burns. Such facilities were available only in certain hospitals, including Osmania and Gandhi hospitals.

Among those present were critical care HOD Dr V Rajender and consultant plastic surgeon Dr Venkat Bhargav.
