ACB nets veterinary doctor, aide

Kadthal: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials had caught a corrupt veterinary doctor and arrested him from his office at Kadthal mandal on Wednesday. It is reported that the veterinary Doctor Ravichandra along with attender Parveen were harassing a beneficiary of cow and buffalo scheme and was demanding Rs 7,200 from one Hanmnath Reddy for issuing the health verification certificate. 

As the beneficiary was fed up with the harassment by the doctor for letting him visit his office for many days, he complained to the ACB officials. Upon receiving the complaint, the ACB officials planned accordingly and caught the corrupt officer for indulging in corrupt practices. 

“We caught the veterinary doctor, Ravichandra, and his aid Parveen while accepting a bribe of Rs 7,200 from a beneficiary Hanumanth Reddy. We have booked a case against the doctor and his aid and arrested them for the corrupt act,” said Suryanarayana, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Rangareddy district.
