MLC polls: Section 144 to be in effect till March 21

Khammam: In a statement released on Wednesday by the Khammam Commissioner of Police, Tafseer Iqbal, it has been stated that Section 144 would be in place till March 21 in view of MLC elections.

The CP appealed to the people to not to organise any public meetings as it is prohibited under the said section. He added, “To avoid any untoward incidents in the limits of Khammam police jurisdiction, we have decided to continue the Section 144 untill March 21 as previously announced.”
