Work with slogan Car, KCR and Delhi Sarkar: KTR
Karimnagar: TRS working president KT Rama Rao called upon the party leaders and cadre to work like soldiers with the slogan ‘car, KCR and Delhi sarkar’ to ensure that the TRS MP candidates will win with a majority of more than five lakh votes. So that the party can play its role at the Centre and will protect the State’s interests, he added.
He attended as a chief guest at the preparatory meeting with party cadre of seven Assembly constituencies that falls under Karimnagar Parliament constituency, at SRR Degree College grounds here on Wednesday.
KTR said Karimnagar has a unique recognition and played a key role in the separate Telangana movement and stood by the side of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao during the movement.
It should be noted that KT Rama Rao took the responsibility of conducting Parliamentary-level preparatory meetings with the party cadre with an aim of winning 16 Parliament seats out of the 17 present in the State in the coming Lok Sabha elections. He launched the campaign from Karimnagar.
The party activists and leaders gave a grand welcome to KTR, who visited Karimnagar for the first time after taking charge as the party working president.
KTR thanked the people of the district for blessing the TRS and KCR for second time by giving a bumper majority in the recently held Assembly elections. With the same spirit and enthusiasm, the people must also bless the TRS candidates, who would be contesting in the Lok Sabha elections.
Karimnagar proved to be a sentiment for both the party and the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Any programme or work launched from Karimnagar has proved successful for the TRS, he added.
"I was born here in Mission Hospital and my primary education was completed in Karimnagar district only. I was in America when Simha Garjana meeting was held in Karimnagar. In 2006, I resigned for my job and joined the separate Telangana movement." he said.
KTR said that Karimnagar is going to become a water junction. On number of occasions, KCR requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to accord national status to Kaleshwaram project but he didn’t respond till date. By winning more than 100 seats, the Federal Front is going to play a key role in national politics.
‘We are heading forward with KCR vision and we will surely succeed,’ he said. Stating that Congress leaders are slaves to the Delhi leaders and never participated in separate Telangana movement, he questioned how they (Congress) can ask people for votes.
KTR said that Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar is very close to KCR and he has been with KCR till the beginning of Telangana movement and played a key role in achieving separate Statehood for Telangana.
Ministers Mahmud Ali, Eatala Rajendar, Koppula Eshwar, Rajya Sabha members Keshava Rao, Captain Laksmikantha Rao, Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar, MLA Gangula Kamalakar, ZP Chairperson Tula Uma, Mayor Ravinder Singh and other public representatives were present.
