Regional judicial academy likely to come up in Warangal

Hanamkonda: Regional Judicial Academy is likely to come up in Warangal, District and Sessions Judge E Tirumala Devi said. Speaking at a meeting in the Adalat here on Thursday, she revealed that the government has plans to establish a Regional Judicial Academy in the city. The judicial service centre will get underway soon, she said.

Referring to the progress of G+3 complex construction that accommodates 10 courts, the Judge said that work on G+1 is almost complete as part of phase–I with an outlay of Rs 9.35 crore. The estimated cost of the G+3 complex is Rs 21.65 crore.

The tenders will be floated for the construction of another two floors soon, she added. It’s learnt that each floor will have space to accommodate five court complexes.

The Judge sought the R&B officials to prepare estimations for the construction of SC/ST court and seventh additional district court. She also directed the R&B to prepare plans for the construction of residential quarters of the judges besides focusing on arresting the leakages in the old building.

Warangal Urban District Collector Prashanth Jeevan Patil, First Additional District Judge K Jayakumar Second Additional District Judge Ravindran Sharma, joint collectors of Mahabubabad and Jayashankar-Bhupalpally districts M David and K Swarnalatha were among others present.
